Create a second screen for a live television program in the Netherlands.
The problem: How can a second screen involve the viewer more and make them feel like they have an influence on the talk show Jinek?
During the research, I conducted interviews with people between the ages of 25 and 60. The goal was to find out what they are missing from Jinek’s show. An important outcome from the interviews was that they missed interaction by giving their opinion. After the interviews I went to a show by Jinek.
The concept I came up with, allows people to give their opinion by answering a statement using an app. During the show they are shown a statement, they can answer with Agree or disagree. The viewers opinion becomes visible in the studio and Eva Jinek can comment on it. After the show, viewers can read about the guests for tomorrow and nominate a guest. By letting the viewer give their opinion, they remain stimulated. I made a video of the prototype. Watch the video.
